Woman Mistakes Nail Glue for Eye Drops


On the night of January 18, Li Mei Feng, a 22-year-old college student from Sichuan province, China, took a train with her sister to visit their family. As the train clattered down the tracks, Feng’s eyes began to feel dry after her hard day of studying. Fumbling through her bag on the crowded train, Feng grabbed what she thought were eye drops and proceeded to squeeze the tiny bottle into her eye. As soon as the liquid came in contact with her right eye, an intense burning pain overcame her. Feng then realized that she hadn't used eye drops, she’d used super-adhesive nail glue!

Program developer OUTSOURCED his JOB to China to goof off at work

A security audit of a US critical infrastructure company last year revealed that its star developer had outsourced his own job to a Chinese subcontractor and was spending all his work time playing around on the internet.

The firm's telecommunications supplier Verizon was called in after the company set up a basic VPN system with two-factor authentication so staff could work at home. The VPN traffic logs showed a regular series of logins to the company's main server from Shenyang, China, using the credentials of the firm's top programmer, "Bob".

Shark tank explodes in busy shopping centre, leaving 15 injured


Shoppers were left seriously injured after a 33-tonne shark tank suddenly exploded in the middle of a busy shopping centre.

Flying shards of glass and a torrent of water left 15 people injured at the bustling Orient shopping mall in Shanghai, China.

CCTV footage shows members of the public ducking for cover after the tank, which housed sharks, turtles and fish, shattered without warning.
