Glastonbury organizers may need to take another look at their festival line-up thanks to a new dance band creating a stir online.

The electronic group of Lego Bionicle robots, known as the Toa Mata Band, are on a mission to shake up the music industry with their unique brand of beats.

While The X Factor has been accused by critics of flooding the industry with manufactured pop stars, this group takes ‘artificial’ to a whole new level.

The robot band is the brainchild of Italian producer Guiseppe Acito, who uses drum pads, percussion instruments and synthesizers to create his super sounds.

‘This is the prototype of an ambitious project which I hope I can speak to you in the future,’ he explained.

‘Toa Mata Band is a band of small robots Series Lego Bionicle playing mini electronic instruments.

‘Everything is controlled by a MIDI sequencer for the iPad; the app’s notes are converted into electrical impulses by an Arduino Uno.’

Footage of the band’s first music video has already racked up thousands of hits online receiving positive reviews from music lovers.
