The astonishing suit that lets you 'fly' through the ocean

It may look like a skydiving wingsuit more appropriate for the air, but this striking outfit is designed for 'flying' underwater.

Thanks to webbed wings under the arms and between the legs of the suit, Oceanwings allows you to glide through the water like a manta ray.

Dubbed as an 'underwater human flight experience,' the concept was devised by Frenchman Guillaume Binard and created in partnership with Aqua Lung.

'The wingsuit is one of the most popular icons of our society, realising the oldest human dream - flying,' said Binard.

'This project shows the similarities between the air and water environments, finding their main difference with density.

'Then a smooth and slow flight expresses how powerful are the emotions and feelings that the underwater world generates on a human being.'

A video shows free-diver Pierre Frolla using the suit underwater.
